Intolerance (1916) -- D. W. Griffith
Some pretty amazing shots (and sets) here with Griffith's
trademark cross-cutting across four stories (well, the modern and Babylon
stories are the most fleshed out). (Makes me want to go back to Kenneth Anger's
Hollywood Babylon again to see what was happening behind the scenes.)
Remarkable. (2010 review)
